This will inevitably evolve but, currently, the following applies.
No support for projects involved in trading live animals or animal parts (except SOME breeding or translocation programmes conducted in the sole interest of animal conservation/welfare).
Unless exceptional circumstances dictate, no support for projects promoting and/or conducting the lethal or non-lethal utilisation of wildlife for sport.
Firearms or other 'military' equipment MAY be supplied to projects authorised by Governments to utilise deadly force to protect wildlife.
Lethal management (of non-threatened species) to be tolerated ONLY if incontrovertibly required, with the absolute minimum of kills conducted with maximum consideration for animal welfare.
Distribution of products from lethal management to be examined on a case by case basis.
Rhino welfare to be placed uppermost where human/rhino conflicts arise. Although currently politically incorrect, RHINO RECOVERY is and always will be a 'protectionist' organisation.
